Just a Pinch

Received good news last week that “Just a Pinch” will be showcased in the Texas Photographic Society’s 31st Annual Members’ Only Exhibit at Artworks Gallery in Austin.

The exhibit features 50 works from 49 artists, chosen from more than 900 photographs. The exhibit opens Sept. 7, and runs through Oct. 13.

Come see me in Big Bend

I’m happy to announce that my photo “Forever Young” is traveling to West Texas to be part of a show by the Texas Photographic Society at the Museum of the Big Bend in Alpine.

The FotoTexasII show includes 50 hand-selected images by 39 artists celebrating the rich history, culture, people, icons, landscape and natural resources of Texas. It opens with a public reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 15, and will be on display through Sept. 2.

A big thank you to Texas Commission on the Arts, which sponsored the show through an Arts Respond grant, and a generous award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Chisholm Trail Art Association

This week has been a whirlwind getting ready for Cruisin’ Nocona & the Vicari Auction, and working on a presentation for the Chisholm Trail Art Association. But it’s been so fun reminiscing about these images and getting them back out in the world.

Hope you can join me May 10 with the Chisholm Trail Art Association at the Chisholm Trail Room in Bowie’s Wellington Bank. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program starts at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend — although after two meetings, you might  consider becoming a member.
